Season 10, Episode 11: The Quest part 2

After a quick recap of the previous episode, we are cast into the clutches of part two. The dragon attacks SG-1, Ba’al and Adria, who manages to save the group with her protective shield from the dragon’s fire. They make a run for it deeper into the caverns, but soon find an exit, though the dragon also bursts out from the top of the mountain. Shooting at it proves useless, so once again they are on the run and take shelter in the woods. Daniel proposes that from the mythological aspect knowing the dragon’s name could steal its power, but Ba’al admits that he lied about knowing the name. Cameron then takes the C-4 from the rest of SG-1 and suggests using it to pierce its armor. Teal’c uses the bomb and casts it into the dragon’s mouth, but to no avail. In the meantime, Daniel thinks that he knows the right name, so Vala rushes toward the dragon and speaks the name of its creator, Morgan LeFay. Nothing happens and Daniel is quick to run close and speak the name in Ancient, making the dragon vanish. The group goes back to the cavern and they find that the jewel is still a holograph. Everyone except Adria got teleported into another cavern, where they find a frozen man in a stasis cell, none other than Merlin.

SG-1, without Daniel, comes back to the SGC, reporting to Landry that Samantha managed to slightly upgrade Merlin’s cloaking device. They go to a briefing along with Colonel Reynolds who reports that the Ori instructed denizens of one planet to build an incineration device, like the one into which Vala was chained to be punished. The villagers asked SGC for help, using the cloaking device to make the village invisible. Despite Samantha’s concerns that the device is not ready yet, Landry gives them three days to complete the necessary preparations. The plan starts out in expected manner, but it fails along the way.

Season 10, Episode 13: The Road not Taken

Samantha is working on Merlin’s cloaking device and Cameron comes over to see what she is doing and invites her to lunch with Teal’c to go over his report. There is still no news on Daniel, the previous Jaffa sighting which Teal’c was investigating turned out to be false. Before they go to lunch, Samantha insists on conducting one more experiment “in just a minute”, while Cameron goes to watch her from the galley. The device activates and Samantha goes out of phase. She doesn’t phase back in on time and wakes up in SGC, but Cameron is gone. Samantha goes out of the room to investigate and the first person she sees is Dr. Lee who addresses her as Major. Quickly after that Major Lorne comes along, despite the fact that he should be on Atlantis. She asks him what he is doing, confused he answers that he is stationed here and is the leader of SG-1. Once she finds out that the leader of SGC is General Hammond she quickly realizes what just happened.

Season 10, Episode 14: The Shroud

The beginning refreshes our mind concerning Merlin’s weapons and Daniel’s disappearance after which “The Shroud” begins. SG-1 discovers a village which has been visited by an Ori Prior, who arrived and gave the Book of Origin to them, saying he will return. The leader of the village, a man named Tevaris, hears out the team as they speak of the threat the Ori pose. The Prior comes back and Tevaris hides the team. Once the Prior arrives and speaks to Tevaris he pulls back his hood and reveals his face, the Prior being Daniel. The team quickly reports back to Landry at the SGC, thinking that Daniel was most likely brainwashed into becoming one of the Priors. They return to the planet and they successfully beam him aboard the Odyssey, zapping him and throwing him into the anti-Prior device. It seems that Daniel was just pretending to be an Ori, since he is now a part of Merlin’s plan…well, actually memories of his plan. SG-1 is suspicious of his claims, so he continues, saying that he needed to become one of them so that he could steal an Ori ship and go through the supergate to the place the weapon is and destroy them. Adria made him into a Prior since she thinks that Daniel is the best candidate to convert Earth to the ways of the Ori, as well as converting Vala. In any case, he asks the team to shut down the wormhole blocking the supergate so he can set his plan into motion.

Season 10, Episode 15: Bounty

Cameron is transported to a cargo ship via the transporter rings. He finds out that the cargo is indeed what the intelligence suggested, so the team begins planting explosives. Cameron is forced to open fire once the Lucian Alliance soldiers arrive. He transports just in time before everything explodes. Later, Netan is informed of SG-1’s doings and he is furious, placing bounty on their heads. Back at the SGC, Vala is eager to join Cameron to his high school reunion, while the rest of the team members are on their own chores. Samantha is attending a conference with Dr. Lee, while Teal’c is off-world with the Jaffa. Daniel, in the meanwhile, is at a museum conducting research when he meets a woman. In any case, a bounty ship arrives into Earth’s orbit, trying to lock a signal on SG-1. Another bounty ship appears and opens fire on them. Meanwhile, Teal’c is off-world with a Jaffa brother and while they are heading to the gate they are ambushed by bounty hunters.

Season 10, Episode 16: Bad Guys

Daniel reports in the briefing room, saying that he probably managed to discover the place of Clava Thessara Infinitus or the Key to Infinite Treasure, the stash of Ancient weapons and treasures. Landry gives a go on the mission. Once through the gate, SG-1, minus Samantha, arrive to a place resembling a crypt, with walls filled with various glyphs. Cameron and Teal’c investigate a bit and once they see artifacts in display cases they figure out that they are in a museum. They soon hear music coming from somewhere inside and they see a party happening upstairs. Cameron orders a fall back, but it seems that the DHD is just a replica. Unable to go back, they have to figure out what to do until Landry notices they are late. They sadly don’t go undetected since a couple stumbles upon them. The woman panics and all the attendants of the party are alarmed, believing that the team members are actually “rebels”. The majority of the party manages to run away, while the rest are taken prisoner and one security guard remains inside. Daniel talks to him but it seems they won’t believe them, so the team decides to play the part of these rebels until the wormhole becomes open.

Season 10, Episode 17: Talion

SG-1 and several other SG teams investigate a planet during night, finding a large number of dead Jaffa in the burned remains of a camp, eventually finding badly injured Bra’tac and Teal’c. We are then shown a scene from before the massacre, where the Jaffa are meeting and speaking against the Ori. Teal’c stands aside and listens to Bra’tac’s speech, but notices a strange looking man walking through the camp and decides to go after him. Moments later, one of the tents explodes, a massive fire erupting forth. We then see Teal’c waking up in SGC after two weeks of being unconscious. Dr. Lam says she is surprised to see him recover and she holds off the information that Bra’tac is in a very serious condition. Teal’c fights with the memories about the explosion and insists on seeing his mentor after hearing that thirty two Jaffa are dead and twelve seriously injured. He then is told that Bra’tac is in a coma. Teal’c later reports to Landry, that the Jaffa responsible for the destruction is Ba’Kal, a servent of Arkad, a Jaffa who has plans to bow down to the Ori. The General refuses to send SG-1 to investigate, but Teal’c insists. Landry realizes he can’t stop Teal’c and Teal’c asks SG-1 not to follow him.

Season 10, Episode 18: Family Ties

Samantha and Vala arrive to the SGC, returning from shopping in their civilian clothes, a plan of Vala’s to try and blend in with Earth’s natives. The SGC suddenly receives an incoming message from off-world where they see a human looking alien quite fond of talking. Vala instantly recognizes him, since it is Jacek, her father. He contacted SGC in order to offer information concerning Arkad’s plot for an attack on Earth. Landry gives a go through the gate for SG-1, especially since Jacek claims that despite Arkad’s death his plan is still in motion. Jacek knows the location of a number of cargo ships which are filled with Naquadah, currently waiting to be launched toward the planet. Vala, knowing her father quite much, is very skeptical of his claims, but the rest of the team does fear that it is worth investigating. Later, Landry goes to talk to Lam, wanting to get in touch with his ex-wife. Lam is willing to call her and “put in a good word”.

Season 10, Episode 19: Dominion

We then see Vala meeting a smuggler named Ta’seem at a tavern. She is playing a game of skill and luck, waging her cloaking device versus his cargo ship. Vala wins the game, but Ta’seem realizes that she was cheating and his men pull their weapons toward her. Adria arrives however, knocking out their weapons and hitting them with a telekinetic force. She came to talk to Vala, saying that the plans of the Tauri to destroy the Ori have failed and that they are on the move to invade Earth and the rest of the galaxy in a span of a couple of months. She then realizes that Vala is without her SGC friends. Vala explains that she rushed to Daniel to tell him that she discovered the location of Clava Thessara Infinitas or the Key Of The Infinite Treasure, finding out the details in her dream. SG-1 was suspicious of this, since they fear that maybe Adria managed to implant this information into her dream. General Landry sent SG-3 and SG-8 on a scouting mission and they return under heavy enemy fire, explaining that the Ori were waiting for them the moment they came out. The next night, she had another dream with another location, this time the team didn’t believe her and they left her alone. It all got much worse when IOA thinks she is compromised and she is removed from SG-1 and closed up in Area 51.

Season 10, Episode 20: Unending

The Odyssey is traveling through hyperspace and we see Cameron and Teal’c sparring in the gym. Vala and the majority of the ships crew throw a surprise party for Daniel, but it is not his birthday, yet she organized it all due to extreme boredom on the ship. The vessel exits the hyperspace and they receive a signal from the Asgard for permission to board the Odyssey, so Thor beams in. He explains that the High Council of the Asgard wishes to talk with them and is ready to upgrade the spacecraft with everything they possess. Thor continues, there is not much time left, since the Asgard race is dying and will be no more soon. As the upgrades begin and Thor explains to Samantha some technical tidbits, she wonders is there anything that could be done to save them, but Thor assures here there is not. They are doomed and nothing can stop their psychological degradation. Everything which they leave to the Tauri is going to be their legacy. Later, three Ori motherships arrive and immediately open fire on the Odyssey and approach the Asgard planet. Seconds later the planet is being destroyed as a massive self-destruct sequence has been triggered by the Asgard themselves.
